WHO WE ARE
CAPA Ministry is under the CICM Campus Mission Volunteer of Saint Louis University Saint Aloysius Gonzaga Parish. We are defined as Christian performers and creators of the CICM CMV who build, unite and produce excellent works and ideas for the church. We share our God-given talents to make a difference in a shared tomorrow. CAPA connects people and builds character in youth while spreading the words of God, love, and positivity. In addition, our mission is to serve and praise God while spreading His goodness in every person's life.
CAPA Ministry Creates a chain reaction of realizing God-given talents to give Glory to His name as we follow His footsteps. Using these gifts, the ministry aims to inspire change, serve others and be more, for these are meant to be shared. CAPA Ministry is a family away from home, "san CA PA"?

Using God-given gifts to serve others.
“Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God,
serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received.”
- 1 Peter 4:10
A talent is something that you are instinctually born with that gives you unique skills and abilities. Talent is set apart from knowledge in that it is not a learned behavior, although it can be strengthened and practiced. The Bible tells us that we are all born with distinct talents and gifts that set us apart from each other. When you discover the talents that God has given you and you use them to glorify Him, you will experience a full life! Our loving Lord wants us to feel whole and complete, and it is through talents that we can find our unique calling in life! Use these Bible verses about talents to encourage yourself and others who are seeking God's plan for their life.

In this post modern generation, young people idolize famous personalities such as actors, basketball players, singers, dancers and different people in the showbiz industry. We can spend a lot of time watching our idols in the television or in the internet, but why can't we spend an hour with God? Isn't God is better to be idolized than many other people? Think of it, my fellow youth.
The Holy Father, Pope Francis, once asked the youth "to download the best link of all, that of a heart which sees and transmits goodness without growing weary." It is also a nice way to ask ourselves how will we going to respond on God's call to service.
It should not just texting a few words or just saying "kdot" or reacting on someone's message, it should be like chatting with a very close friend that you'll immediately reply to his/her messages. It should not just be limited to doing a tiktok cover and save it to drafts, it should be doing a dance cover, sharing it to your friends and encouraging them also to share their talents.
Despite of all the influences of social media in our lives, I hope that we will not forget to live and share His love and mercy and God-given talents. I know that with the presence of these social media sites and other modern technologies, we can still share the Good News of God. Let us utilize every single platform we have to create, to inspire and to interact with our fellow youth.
I hope that the Creative And Performing Arts Ministry will served as your outlet in showcasing all your God-given talents. It was made not just for you to be recognized with your talent, it was made for you to dedicate all your acts and performances to God!
As I always say, God gave you that talent for free, then why will you ask for Talent Fee? My dear CAPAtids, in CAPA Ministry we use our God-given gifts to serve others! Mabuhay ang mga Lingkod Louisiano! Mabuhay ang Kabataang Katoliko!

Lorenz Larry Dela Cruz Lacandili
Artistic Director 2018-2019
Having Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) Ministry in my life taught me lessons that I will forever cherish.
When I took over the position of Artistic Director way back 2018 I know that I will start from scratch and face a great responsibility with the pressure of keeping the organization alive and going.
During my time CAPA Ministry cannot stand on its own. back then it was a dependent organization who depends on the members of the different organizations of CICM Campus Mission Volunteers. I remember talking to people convincing them to support me and join me as I continue building this organization. I encountered many negative feedback's and faced challenges but it didn't stop me from continuing and moving forward. I never thought of giving up or abandoning the organization made with a purpose of sharing God given talents. I know that God had put me in this position because He knows what I'm capable of. God was right. I may have faced difficulties but CAPA Ministry can now and was meant to stand on its own helping the Parish in every possible way we can. I would love to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the people who helped me build this organization without you CAPA Ministry will never reach this far.
It also made me realize that I have grown into a new person who can be more than what this society tells me to be and that nobody can stop not only me but others who wants to serve God with their talents. He never fails to amuse me because until now he is blessing CAPA Ministry with wonderful people. People who loves the organization. Cares for it as their own family who has heart in serving the Lord. I will be forever be grateful that i've been part of this family and I promise that I will forever be your CAPAmilya.

Keith Marvin Cabie Tagaca
Artistic Director 2019-2020
Looking back, it has been already 3 arduous years since I have become a part of the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) Ministry. From being a member, to being the Scribe, and to being the Artistic Director of the ministry for the Academic Year 2019-2020.
being with the organization didn’t just gave me an enjoyable and exasperating stay in my college life but also has taught me a lot things. Learning how to manage time wasn’t that easy. But learning that hard work, motivation, and passion can lead to success and inspiration was worth learning all throughout the years. Being in the ministry has given me so much strength and inspiration not just in my studies but also in serving our Lord.
It has also taught me things that had helped grow in maturity and to be wiser on my own decisions which are really important things that we can use in the real world ahead of us.
The ministry has also become my training ground to control oneself under pressure, and to look into different perspectives when problems arise.
Being a CAPAtid, together with the other members is all worth it. They have given me the assurance that I needed, and they also have given me inspiration and motivation when things might get rough. I will always cherish the ministry and the people that have made the organization stronger and closer for the past years. It has become a vital part of the Parish and I do believe it will always work hand in hand with the other organizations in the endeavors of the future.
